Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use this website.

Comments and Reviews

When visitors leave comments/reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the comment/review form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment/review, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment/review.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment/review on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment/review. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Visitor comments/reviews may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

If you place an order with us, we will share your relevant shipping information with our fulfillment partners. We do not ever store your payment information; however, it is shared once at time of purchase with our payment provider, which is Stripe (privacy policy here) via WooCommerce Payments. You may opt to have Stripe retain your payment information for use with future purchases.

We will never sell your data.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment/review, the comment/review and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments/reviews automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments/reviews, you can email us at info@the-clock-is-ticking.com to request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Children’s Privacy

We do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly
collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided
us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have
collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification
of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our
servers.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any
changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy will reflect when that occurs.

How we contact you

We may occasionally email you regarding your account, for things like password resets or username recovery, or other administrative purposes.

If you sign up on our product interest questionnaire, the only emails you will receive from us will be updates regarding that digital product release itself.
